Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the Pocketbell apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac and the Pocketbell service at api.pocketbell.dev (“Pocketbell”), provided by SR WORKS LLC (“we”). By using Pocketbell, you agree to them. The apps are also licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Your account

You sign in with Apple. You’re responsible for what happens under your account, including everything sent with your Sources’ API keys and webhook addresses. Keep them private, and replace a key in the app if you think it has leaked.

Plans and payment

Pocketbell has a free plan and a paid plan, Pocketbell Pro, sold as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. The limits of each plan are shown in the app and on this website.

Purchases are made through the App Store and are handled by Apple under its terms, including payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your Apple Account settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. A free trial, where offered, becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then.

The lifetime purchase gives you Pro for as long as Pocketbell is offered. Every plan, including lifetime, has a monthly notification limit that protects the service for everyone.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Pocketbell to:

• send anything unlawful, or anything you don’t have the right to send;
• send notifications to people who haven’t asked for them;
• try to get around the plan limits, rate limits or security of the service;
• probe, overload or disrupt the service, or use it to reach other systems you aren’t authorized to reach.

We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these rules or that puts the service or its users at risk.

Your content

The notifications you send remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and deliver them as needed to run Pocketbell for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Delivery and availability

We work hard to deliver every notification quickly and reliably, and to keep the service running. But notifications travel through systems we don’t control, including Apple’s push service, your network and your devices’ settings, and no service can promise that every notification arrives, or arrives on time.

Pocketbell is not an emergency service. Don’t make it the only way you learn of a situation that threatens life, health or safety.

Changes to Pocketbell

We may change, add or remove features. If we ever shut Pocketbell down, we’ll give at least 90 days’ notice in the app.

Ending your use

You can stop using Pocketbell at any time, and delete your account in the app. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your Apple Account settings.

Disclaimers and liability

Pocketbell is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the same extent, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Pocketbell in the 12 months before it. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. For a significant change, we’ll tell you in the app as well. Using Pocketbell after a change means you accept the updated terms.
