changedetection.io
changedetection.io watches web pages for changes: prices, stock, announcements. Its notification URLs can post Pocketbell’s own request, with a button that opens the page.
This uses an API Source.
Set it up
Section titled “Set it up”-
In the Pocketbell app, create a Source named changedetection.io, choose API, and copy its key.
-
In changedetection.io, open Settings → Notifications, and add this notification URL, with your key in place of
pb_live_…:posts://api.pocketbell.dev/v1/messages?+Authorization=Bearer%20pb_live_…The
%20is the space afterBearer. -
Set the Notification Body to:
{"title": {{ watch_title|tojson }},"message": {{ ("Changed: " ~ watch_url)|tojson }},"url": {{ watch_url|tojson }},"url_title": "Open page","tags": ["changedetection"]} -
Click Send test notification, then save. The same can be set on a single watch instead, under its Notifications tab.
How it behaves
Section titled “How it behaves”|tojsonturns each value into a JSON string, quotes included, so a page title with quotes in it still makes a valid request.- A message over 4,096 characters is refused, and nothing arrives, so keep the message short, as above, and open the page to see what changed.
- The
+Authorizationheader needs changedetection.io 0.45.8.2 or later.
