Sentry
Sentry can send an alert rule’s events to a URL through an internal integration. Point it at a Pocketbell webhook Source.
Set it up
Section titled “Set it up”-
In the Pocketbell app, create a Source named Sentry, choose Webhook, and copy its URL.
-
In Sentry, open Settings → Developer Settings → Create New Integration, and choose Internal Integration.
-
Name it Pocketbell, paste the URL as the Webhook URL, turn on Alert Rule Action, and save.
-
Open Alerts, edit an issue alert rule, and add the action Send a notification via an integration, choosing Pocketbell.
-
Let the rule fire once, or use Send Test Notification on the rule. In the app, the Source shows the event. Set the templates:
Template Value Title {{data.triggered_rule}}Message {{data.event.title}}
How it behaves
Section titled “How it behaves”- Every alert arrives at the Source’s default priority, which you choose in
the app, unless a rule sets it from a field: under Priority, set it by
data.event.level, withfatal→ Critical, for instance (Webhooks). Or, for a Sentry alert rule that should wake you, make a second webhook Source set to Critical and a second integration for it. - Other fields you can use include
{{data.event.level}}and{{data.event.culprit}}. The app lists every field in the latest event. - Sentry expects an answer within a second. Pocketbell answers as soon as the event is stored, before the notification goes out.
