IFTTT
Any IFTTT trigger can send a Pocketbell notification with the Webhooks service’s Make a web request action, which needs IFTTT Pro.
This uses a webhook Source, with the text as the message, so there’s no JSON to get wrong.
Set it up
Section titled “Set it up”- In the Pocketbell app, create a Source named IFTTT, choose Webhook, and set its Default Priority. Copy its URL.
- In your applet, add the action Webhooks → Make a web request:
- URL: the Source’s URL,
https://api.pocketbell.dev/v1/hooks/pbw_… - Method:
POST - Content Type:
text/plain - Body: the message, with ingredients from the trigger
- URL: the Source’s URL,
- Save, and let the applet run.
How it behaves
Section titled “How it behaves”- The body becomes the notification’s message, and the Source’s name, IFTTT, its title. Nothing to set up in the app.
- To word it differently, open the Source after the first event and set a title template. A body that is itself valid JSON is read as a JSON event, so its fields can be used too.
- Each Source has one default priority. For applets that need a different one, make another webhook Source, or, when the body is JSON, set the priority from one of its fields (Webhooks).
